Hi!



My name is Guy Huntington.  I'm the President of Huntington Ventures Ltd.  I've spent the last nine years leading large Fortune 500 identity projects as the lead consultant.  My work has included Boeing's single sign on, Capital One's single sign on, Capital One's Sarbanes-Oxley provisioning and Kaiser Permanente's web single sign on review.

I am very experienced in preparing enterprise identity architecture, identity roadmaps, scoping out identity projects, leading identity teams, identity project management, deploying identity infrastructure operations and governance, single sign on, provisioning and federation. 

I created AuthenticationWorld.com as a central resource for enterprise managers wanting to get a practical understanding of using authentication to create a layered enterprise identity security strategy.

Experience

I have a lot of battle scars in identity and authentication projects.  This ranges from building business cases, designing target architectures, creating identity roadmaps, leading project implementation teams, designing ongoing maintenance and support teams, etc.  I have created infrastructure and business processes to integrate 1,500 applications into single sign on systems, designed always up identity infrastructure, reengineered business processes internationally for provisioning, lead federation efforts, etc.  

My clients appreciate my ability to quickly zero in on their challenges and problems while also identifying their identity and authentication opportunities.

Independent

I am an independent identity consultant who has worked with several of the leading identity vendors' products.  My clients appreciate I am not going to come in their door pushing a particular vendor. 

I have taken over projects from the large consulting companies on the client's site, then managed them and the client's employees to successful deployment.  On other occasions, I have brought in additional independent and vendor consultants while in still other situations, I have worked with Indian identity outsourcers.  My independence means that I can work in almost any situation and design a tailored consulting solution to fit the client's needs.

Focussed

I am a very focused when on a project.  I like goals, objectives, reports and detail.  In an authentication/identity project, the devil is in the details.  

Short to medium time horizons

I am normally used from six to ten weeks for identity roadmap type work to several months leading a implementation project team.  When I'm leading a team, my goal is to do myself out of a job by designing, hiring and training the ongoing maintenance team.
